Savor every bit of summer when you extend celebrations past sunset with the illumination and ambiance of our Glow by MacKenzie-Childs collection. The collection includes candles, candle holders, and candle accessories. There are dozens of designs, so you’re sure to find at least one for just about every occasion. In addition to a wide selection of colors and patterns, there are candles that celebrate summer with the themes of dragonflies, bees, and flowers. To be sure that your candles get noticed, make them the focal point of your summer table. Create a stunning centerpiece by mixing different candle types and heights with flowers and/or greenery. You could incorporate smaller votive candles at each place setting, too.

We offer several options for displaying candles with our candle holders—from simple metal bases to more elaborate hand-painted designs that resemble the flowers blooming in your garden. Another option for candle display is one of our candle lanterns, which hold pillar candles. These lanterns, which are made of iron and have hand-painted details, are quite practical because they can be placed where illumination is needed, whether it’s a tabletop or on a porch or patio. Another idea to complement the lanterns and the candlelight is to hang strands of twinkle lights in trees that surround the scene of your gathering.

And speaking of practical, our Frog Citronella Candle adds whimsy and light and also helps to control insects because the wax contains 2% citronella oil, which masks scents that are attractive to insects. The candle has a verdigris-finish lid with a frog on top to keep the elements out when it’s not in use.

Finally, remember to burn candles safely. The National Candle Association offers these tips:

  • A burning candle should never be left unattended or burned on or near anything that may catch fire. At gatherings, always make sure candles are out of reach of children or pets.
  • Always use a candle holder that is specifically designed for candle use. The holder should be heat-resistant, sturdy, and large enough to contain any drips or melted wax.
  • Always place your candles on a stable, heat-resistant surface to avoid heat damage and prevent glass containers from breaking.
  • To keep your candles looking good longer, don’t leave them outdoors when not in use and always avoid full sun to prevent melting. After the party is over, bring candles indoors to protect them from an overnight pop-up shower and the moisture of the early morning dew.
